Holiday Gifts for Her

I've been travelling a bunch with work and my to-do list has been piling up, so this space has been a bit neglected - apologies for being so MIA. I was working in New York and then took a quick weekend trip home to Toronto before heading back to London, where I celebrated my 27th birthday last week.

It was so sweet to be back in Canada (it's been almost a year) and for once the goodbye wasn't as hard, knowing that I'll be back in Ontario again shortly after Christmas. Hopefully it will be good and snowy by then.

Now that I am back in our flat in London I've been thinking all things Christmas - I can't wait to pick up a real tree from Columbia Road next weekend, and I've already snagged some adorable baubles from Tiger for decorative purposes!!

As the month's have been getting colder I've also been snuggling up at home whilst reading a few "Gone Girl-esque" thrillers: The Girlfriend and The Luckiest Girl Alive. Both are supposed to be turned into movies next year!

Since I'm officially in the holiday spirit, I wanted to quickly post a few holiday gift essentials before Black Friday rolls around so we can all snag a deal on some thoughtful gifts for friends and fam. I've included my favourite trainers, the perfect stocking stuffers and anything else that I'm currently after!

20 Fall Favourites

Autumn honey bee soap | NinasBeeShop

It's no secret that I am obsessed with fall.... Halloween plus Thanksgiving plus my birthday all wrapped in one season? I could not be more excited. While I'm not super, super happy to be turning another year older this year, I am pretty pumped to be heading to the US during Halloween.

So in that spirit, I've compiled a list of my 20 Etsy fall favourites for the year, which include Halloween cookies, comfy #SquadGhouls t-shirts, spooky party decor, chunky throws and more...

If you're obsessed with Gray Malin like me (I have pinned his photography countless times but am just not willing to shell out $2k+ for a print), check out DaydriftPrints on Etsy.

Fall(ing) in Love with London

Fall is in the air and with it I've begun to blog again! I'm so sorry for the radio silence over the last month, but I promise I'll fill ya in on what I've been up to in this post.

Here are my five favourite restaurants in Capri, in order. Can you guess which one came in at #1?

Dower & Hall

Happy Friday!! I think a lot of you will agree with me when I say the right jewellery completes any outfit. I usually travel with a carry-on only (thanks, Easyjet) and I don't have the space for big, chunky jewellery - so I was especially glad to team up with Dower & Hall on this post as they carry a variety of beautiful lightweight accessories!

It's All Greek to Me

Dress: Surf Gypsy (Similar) | Bag: Gucci | Flipflops: Havaianas

The Greek Islands are beyond incredible, and Mykonos (Santorini's younger, wilder cousin) is truly a special place. We spent five sun-filled days on the island and I've highlighted our favourite places to eat, drink and of course party!

The French Riviera

My best friend flew in from Toronto for the week so we decided to head to Nice together for a girls weekend! A lot of people ask how I manage to travel so much but a lot of the trips fall over long weekends, or I only take a day or two off work. This was no exception, and we spent three sunny days wandering around the beautiful pebbled beaches dotted along the Promenade des Anglais.

Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken

This Slow Cooker BBQ Chicken is sweet and sticky and slow cooked to perfection. It makes a great sandwich, wrap or can even be served over rice. It's perfect for family dinners, parties, game day, or anytime you’re looking for something super easy and incredibly delicious.

My mom bought us a crockpot when we moved into our apartment, and it's been such a little luxury to have over the busy summer months, when you just don't want to spend all of your time indoors cooking when the sun's out. You can have dinner ready in no time with little effort!

Our New Casa

We just moved into our first flat together, and I wanted to share some photos and link to some of my favourite items from the new place. Because rent in London is pretty pricey to begin with, we didn't want to spend too much on items for the home - so the majority of our decor was relatively inexpensive and sourced from affordable shops like H&M Home, Wayfair and John Lewis. We even found our vintage bar cart off Ebay for £15!

You Better Belize It

I can't Belize our holiday is over already! We just got back from a week of sun-drenched days in Belize, where we spent our time on two different islands; Caye Caulker and Ambergris Caye.

10 Travel Must-Haves

Packing for a trip can be a bit stressful, especially if you leave it to the last minute like me. We are heading to two destinations (Florida and Belize!!!) and we fly out on Wednesday, so I'm not sure where to even start.

But there are a few things that I am sure of... that my top 10 travel must-haves from the John Lewis loved&found collection are at the very top of my packing list! The range, which is refreshed every month, features John Lewis’ most-coveted finds - it's a treasure chest full of goodies so you don't have to "go digging" yourself.

An Eggcellent Easter

Can some bunny (ha!) tell me how Easter is only two weeks away? It's one of my favorite holidays as it means winter is in the rearview. I'll be spending this Easter in Florida with my family and friends, and I cannot wait to dress up the beach house in pastel colours!

From sweet treats to succulents and floral prints, shop my Top 15 Easter picks off Etsy.

Adventures in Iceland

We just got back from an unforgettable trip to Iceland with rewardStyle. I never knew I could have so much fun in such a cold climate - I'm more of a warm weather kinda girl. Grab a snack, get comfy and find out where we stayed, wined & dined in Reykjavik!

Spring Clean Your Life

Columbia Rd. Flower Market

With spring around the corner it's time to refresh and renew! As much as I love everything I've purchased throughout my travels, I figured it's time to declutter and part with some of my favourite things - which is why I've opened my very first Ebay Shop.

I've listed clothing and accessories that have been purchased in London, Berlin and New York over the last few months to a year. I'm currently only shipping within the UK however I know many of my readers are Canada/US based, so if you are interested in purchasing anything internationally just shout! Keep checking back as I will try to update it as much as possible.

I'm moving flats in a couple of months so I figured it's the perfect time to spring clean my life before packing up. I've recycled all the makeup that I no longer use, which prompted me to do a "What's in your Makeup Bag" snippet in this post. These are my bare bone essentials - really the items that I absolutely cannot live without.

Blueberry Skyr Banana Bread

I've been on a very serious banana bread kick for the past, I dunno, three or so months where I have experimented with every variant of banana bread possible.

Sweetened with honey? Check.
Gluten-free flour? Check.
Overripe bananas? Check.
A little more flour? A little less salt? No sugar at all? Check, check, checkkkkk.

I've created strawberry banana bread, chocolate chunk banana bread - heck, even just plain old banana bread. My boyfriend has been my lab rat in my baking endeavours, always saying "It's really good sweetie" despite not liking sugary stuff at all... like, not at all... I don't really know how someone can live life without a sweet tooth.

Anyways, I am happy to inform you that I have finally nailed it. Hands down. Best. Recipe. Ever. All thanks to this little thing called...

Be My Valentine

Valentine's Day is one week away, and while I'm not a big fan of kitschy presents on this marketing holiday, I always love a good excuse for a greeting card. I'm a hoarder when it comes to saving old cards - my bedside table is full of them!
