Our New Casa

We just moved into our first flat together, and I wanted to share some photos and link to some of my favourite items from the new place. Because rent in London is pretty pricey to begin with, we didn't want to spend too much on items for the home - so the majority of our decor was relatively inexpensive and sourced from affordable shops like H&M Home, Wayfair and John Lewis. We even found our vintage bar cart off Ebay for £15!

We have a couple of key pieces in the flat - our Berber Beni Ourain rug (that we picked up on our trip to Morocco) is still my absolute favourite item in the apartment, as well as our emerald pouf! You can find so many beautiful Moroccan pieces and vintage Beni Ourain rugs on Etsy in a variety of patterns and colours. HappyTapis, a wonderful Etsy seller, has her shop fully stocked with colourful, unique vintage rugs as well as floor cushions. We bought all of our kitchen appliances on the cheap from Wayfair through a trade account (thanks Dad!) which offers a slight discount, but even without the account Wayfair is very affordable.

Our wicker basket came from John Lewis and the throw (on the couch above) is actually an Aritzia scarf. We somehow managed to accent the place with blues, emeralds and coppers (this wasn't really planned) but it kind of stuck! Once we had the rug, we kept a black and white monochrome theme for the pillows (only £3.99 each!) and pom-pom blanket. We love Ottolenghi and Leon here in London, so of course had to get the cookbooks for our nest!

The white candles are from Amazon and the hanging sea dollars are a Homegoods find from Florida.

I hope you enjoyed our little apartment tour and that we've inspired you to organize and decorate your flat in a fun and inexpensive way!
